The Paymaster's House, Inveraray

Taken 22/5/2013 at Inveraray, Scotland.

Provost James Campbell lived here in 1780. It is now luxury holiday apartments.
The Paymaster was the person who paid the troops so I wonder if the history goes back a little further.
