Tyne Tunnel 1992.

The Tyne Tunnel which opened in 1967 runs under the River Tyne between Jarrow on the South side, and Wallsend on the North side. It forms part of the A19 road which is one of the primary routes in North East England. This is the North Plaza Toll booths looking South. The whole area is now changed almost beyond recognition, as the Tunnel recieved an upgrade and a second vehicle Tunnel alongside the existing one which opened in 2011.
